According to the bulletin issued from the control room of the irrigation flood section, at 8 pm, the water level of Ganga was recorded at 80.92 meters in Phaphamau, 80.25 meters in Chhatnag and the water level of Yamuna was recorded at 80.70 meters in Naini. The water level continued to rise on Wednesday as well.

The water level of Ganga continued to rise on Tuesday, while Yamuna started decreasing at the rate of three cm per hour. Ganga has reached close to the Lathe Hanuman Temple. The risk of flood has increased again due to the increase in the water level of Ganga. The water level continued to rise on Wednesday as well. Gangaji has reached close to Shri Bade Hanuman Temple. If this speed continues, then Gangaji will enter the temple for the second time.

Ganga is rising at the rate of 1 cm per hour. Whereas, the water level of Yamuna is decreasing at the rate of 3 cm per hour. On Tuesday also, 4.75 lakh cusecs of water was released in Ganga. 93,842 cusecs of water was released from Haridwar, 40,349 cusecs from Narora and 2,45,868 cusecs from Kanpur.
